Fun at Discovery Depot

The boys love going to the Children's Museum!!! Jacob loves the fire truck and wearing the fireman outfit, hat, and boots. Kaleb likes to play with the trains and tractors. They both like to drive the tractor and pick corn like Poppa!

Isaiah and Kaleb home ONE Year

Last year on March 3rd we landed in Chicago, IL and Kaleb and Isaiah became US Citizens. We waited and waited and waited to board our final plane from Chicago to Peoria, IL where over 50 people gathered to welcome the newest Mowens HOME!! Brad had left Ethiopia 6 weeks before us, so we were beyond ready to see him again and start life as a family of five. Such sweet memories as we remember how God brought our family together and just how far we have come in this past year by the grace of God.

Pictures of Kaleb

Kaleb doesn't like to have his picture taken. If he sees you get out a camera he will say "no camera. No" every great once in awhile he will say "me cheese too" if the others are getting their picture taken. So many pictures I have if Kaleb are blurry because he runs away or moves before I am done pushing the button. Here's a few from last weekend on our way to Isaiah's basketball game. (I deleted the really blurry ones already).

Snow Day

On Tuesday we got about 7 inches of snow in a couple hours. It was enough to cancel school for the day and we had a fun-filled family day! This was the second time the kids have played in the snow and it was their first snowman. They didn't want to come inside they had so much fun!

Isaiah got Braces

Isaiah was so excited to find out he would be getting braces. About an hour after leaving the office, he feels differently. His friends tried to warn him they will hurt. He was miserable all evening. Poor guy. Hopefully he will get used to them quickly and they will be able to fix his tooth that us way up high.

Bowling Fun

Jacob and Kaleb went bowling for the first time. Isaiah bowled 4 games on his own lane while my sister and I helped the four little kids and Grandna Mary kept score. It was a little chaotic, but fun! Thankfully (and miraculously) no one got pinched fingers and everyone had fun!
